Re: the melting pot ?

it depends on what you get. you can go there and just get a cheese fondue appetizer ( with bread and veggies to dip) and a chocolate dessert, and its not too bad.
BUT, if you do the "big night out"... that includes a salad, cheese appetizer, main course fondue ( coq au vin or other "oils" and meat, shrimp, etc to cook in it) and a chocolate dessert. i beleive about $70 depending on which oil and meat/seafood combo you choose. its enough for two people.
so basically, DH and i have gone there and gotten the big night out with one alcoholic drink and a soda for each of us and spent about $100, $120 with the tip... its worth it thought for a special occasion Chat Icon

Re: the melting pot ?

5 of us went in FL. and went to the melting pot. We had salads, 2 cheese fondou appetizers, each person had there own meat and we picked 2 dfferent seasonings to cook them in that we all shared, and then we got 2 trays of the chocolate fondue for dessert. I wanna say it came to a little over $200, but we also had drinks and stuff. I thought it was pretty reasonable for the 5 of us.

Re: the melting pot ?

We just went to one down in Myrtle Beach....I had 2 white wines and my DH had a 1 glass of Red (he was driving)
and we had the 4 course dinner and I think it came to $140.00(plus tip) for the two of us.

Re: the melting pot ?

DH and I got the big night out (cheese fondue, salad, dinner, dessert). For the 2 of us, without any alcohol, the bill ran around $110.

Re: the melting pot ?

it can be a little pricey--i've been to the one in myrtle beach and for 2 ppl with some drinks it can easily be a $110-150 kind of nite

but for 3 yrs in a row when i lived down there, the melting pot was voted "most romantic' restaurant and ppl flocked to it like crazy! on valentine's day you had to make reservations weeks in advance!
