OMG!! Please tell me I'm not the only one who watched tonight.
Had NO IDEA this was happening!
My heart was pounding when Eli had to give the phone to Alicia. And my jaw is still on the floor.
I'm going to miss him!

The Good Wife---SPOILERS!
I was shocked!!! Can't believe they did that. So crazy. I kept thinking as Eli handed the phone to Alicia that this is her "before and after" moment. Everything in her life from now on will be before or after this happened. Holy Cow!

WOW! I did not see that coming! I knew they've been saying they're building up to something big so when the kid looked at the gun I figured Will was getting shot but it never even crossed my mind he'd get killed off!
I am actually really sad about this. I loved his character.

I was They said it was an "explosive 3 episode arc" but that's never what I expected.

I cannot even believe he is gone. I actually yelled out at the tv when Kalinda found him at the hospital.
He was such a huge part of the show, I am shocked. I was wondering if it was known that he was leaving, but I guess not.

all i kept saying last night was "wow" - so shocked! i didn't know before but this morning i read that josh charles chose not to renew his contract after last year (he had a 4 yr deal) and they talked him into doing 15 eps this year to give his character a proper send off. he's going to be on david letterman tonight - already have the dvr set!

I am so glad I found this thread! None of my friends or family watch this show (for some unknown reason!) and I NEEDED to talk about it! O. M. G. My mouth was hanging open for the last 10 minutes of the show. I cannot believe they left Alicia's reaction a cliffhanger!! Just... wow. I am beyond shocked and couldn't fall asleep last night! I am really amazed that the show was able to keep this under wraps, esp considering the fact that it's been revealed that Josh Charles asked to be let out of his contract a YEAR ago! So this has been in the works for quite some time. So crazy!! I am torn between not wanting to watch anymore (but of course I will) and being curious to see how this will change the show. The Alicia/Will dynamic (whether romantic or not) was a cornerstone of the series. How will they move past this?!?!?

I know! I can't imagine how they are going to make it work. Hope it keeps my interest. Although seeing how this will effect her and Peter looks interesting. I don't recall them ever really discussing what happened between her and Will.

OMG I just finished last nights episode!
I'm at work and literally want to cry. I can't believe they killed Will!! I watched it online so I have to wait until I get home to see the scenes for next week. I'm shocked. Had no idea he was leaving!! This show is amazing.

I really don't even care about the legal stuff, I just love the Will/Alicia dynamic. And they are bringing in Michael J Fox again????.............I haaaaaaaated his character. He annoyed the crap out of me,
Honestly, I think I might be done with this show once they wrap up Will's death. I'm so upset that he's gone, I can't see the show being the same without him in it.

I agree. I was really annoyed when they showed him coming back. I really like MJF, but not in this role. I just hope its a short lived return and that he's not a permanent cast member.

He opted not to renew his contract. I can't believe none of this leaked though.

On WPLJ this morning they were saying the Julianna Marguilies is a real b!tch to work with and that's why he wanted out. I was so surprised to hear that. Don't know if its true, but they were saying that when she was at the radio station for an interview she didn't talk to anyone and was not at all friendly

Phew! ITA...his character is sooooo annoying, I don't think I could handle him as a regular.
Between that and the crushing of my dream that Will and Alicia would somehow end up together at the end, I don't know if I'll enjoy the show anymore I can't believe it!!!!!
