I thought he did lock the door? The crazy ex gf/ follower had a key..they showed that in a previous episode she used her key to surprise him w/ dinner..

I don't think he was dead...my guess is that's why he was keeping that other guy locked in the house cause his dental records matched Joe's. And some how either is a relative or Joe or the initial DNA was wrong.

I agree joe may not be dead...they showed his face and he wasn't screaming but I def heard someone screaming in the fire. I think he switched dentals with someone and they still didn't have the DNA results yet. Otherwise why would he trap himself in that shed.

I definitely think Joe is still alive... until they show us his burned, charred body I don't believe it!! Also, why wouldn't Ryan and Claire be taken to some kind of safe house right away, knowing that so many cult members are still out there!!! Going back to his own apartment?? That was just plain stupid. They should know that FBI "doormen" aren't going to protect them! lol
I, too, wish Emma had been killed. I also wish that instead of shooting that guy in the head after Agent Parker died, they should have buried HIM in the box and let him suffocate just like she did!!!

I imagine we'll be about halfway through season 2 and then Ryan will get a phone call and it will be Joe. . . and in flashback we'll see how he had another body in the house full of kerosene - and maybe he even yanked out one or two of his teeth and stuck it in the poor guys mouth. There's a short story by Poe that's all about teeth, actually. I hope Claire lives. I dont want to think of the little boy losing her. I thought the stabbings at the end were unnecessary. All you needed was the neighbor showing up and giving Kevin Bacon a hug. We already know she's a villain - the knife work at the end was over the top.

i am a little annoyed at the ending.... First off why couldnt they track Parker's phone? she was able to make a call so wouldnt they be able to track it? Also we never found out why she gave Joe that book in the start of the season.
And just bc joe is "dead" means that they can all go back to their normal lives? Hello these are crazy people we are dealing with!!!! Just weird ending i guess

I really hope Claire doesn't die. I thought the ending was a little lame....there is no way they would have let her go home with Ryan and even so there should have been guards at their door not just the lobby of the building protecting them from the other cult members that were out there. Now that they all think Joe is dead of course they are all coming for Ryan.

The phone was not hers. The kid that came to the police station in the poe mask, said he was given $20 from emma to wear the mask. Inside was a phone number. They called it, it rang inside the coffin, parker picked it up.
