Re: Pregnancy & Stress
With my dd I was going thru a rough time as well. It was work related but still was causing a toll on me and i was always worried/upset/angry etc. I sought therapy and It really helped me to talk to someone. I hope it gets better for you. Take deep breaths when you feel like your really going to lose it. Breath thru your nose and exhale thru your mouth slowly.....
Be strong it will be okay

Re: Pregnancy & Stress
well you really shouldn't be stressing because studies show it does effect baby. but everyone has some sort of stress they deal with durning pregnancy. its impossible to have 10 months stress free.
My suggestion is, the things you can control, work on changing so they don't stress you out
the things you can not control that stress you out, work on letting go of them. you can't worry about them because that's not going to change them
and don't stress about being stressed all the time
try taking up some yoga, its excellent for relaxation and do things that make you happy and relaxed. focus on those things more

Re: Pregnancy & Stress
The stressful situation that you are dealing with is different than stressing over things like, "hmm....did I put the right stroller on my registry?" It's MAJOR stuff! Try to lean on your friends and family to get you through this. You can't change what is going on but just try to deal w/ it as best you can.

Re: Pregnancy & Stress
I am sorry- this must be so hard for you!!!
I was under a ton of stress during my first pregnancy. I cried every day. I had knots in my stomach most of the time. I felt awful. I was dealing with some difficult situations. People constantly told me how bad it was for me, the baby. But unfortunately, it was easier said than done.
But, thank goodness, in spite of all the emotional turmoil I endured, the baby was unaffected. There were no complications during my pregnancy, and I delivered a healthy, beautiful son. He is 3.5 years old today, and a happy, smiley, fun-loving little guy. I am so grateful that it didn't affect him!!
and to you!!!
