Re: New Mom to one, and found out some information last night about ttc again..... help
That is a really tough question...
i would want more clarification about what she means by having your eggs accounted for... does that mean removing them? for iui or ivf?

She explained it as seeing "how many eggs per cycle" are coming from the right ovary...
I guess there is a limit per side? I never knew this...
I kind of told her I would be back to discuss options because I didn't want to get upset.... :(

i think it would be best for you to get checked out and find out what the possibilities will be now and for your future. Then you can make an informed decision about whether you want to ttc or not. I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to you

Personally , I would get a second opinion from a specialist (even if she is one) . With something that can be a serious matter , I would always get clarification, and another Dr's opinion

i would assume that as long as you have one "normal" working ovary and fallopian tube then you can conceive at any time in the future. No need to rush. Lots of women conceive with only one ovary & fallopian tube. But i would try to get more info, cause it sounds a little confusing...or get a second opinion.

i agree with you... do the testing and see where you stand after that... then make a decision ONLY one that youre comfortable with... i can totally see why you wouldnt want to go through it right away...

I was thinking the same thing. I worry that she is more concerned with my pcos effecting the working ovary?

Thank you for understanding it really means alot... i had a terrible pregnancy and a terrible birth experience and am still getting over it...
So this was kind of like... one of those shocks of "WHAT?"

My cousin lost one ovary due to cancer and also had PCOS. She was eventually able to conceive when the time was right for her. I think you shouldnt feel pressured into making any decision until you get all the info and even after you get all the info if you're not ready dont rush into it
