Thank you ladies... mini update...
Ladies - thank you for the prayers, kind words, FMs, etc...
I have to say, when DH told me on the phone about what happened - my 1st words were, "I'm not worried this time - I think there is something better out there for you!"
And there is no anxiety like the way there was before. Even DH seems to be in good spirits. The truth is, this job was taxing on our marriage. It made him an empty shell of a person and he was never home... He is back to himself again. The pro was this job gave him a LOT more experience and education, so now he is more marketable...
He has some interviews lined up - and some free lance work in the meantime....
We are just working hard on keeping our spirits up. He is spending a lot of time with Cailen, and that makes for an ecstatic little boy who loves daddy more than anything in the whole world!

Has he considered applying for a state job? Job security, pension...good hours.

that is a great outlook and a great attitude!
i have to say ( and this sounds weird) that one of the best things about DH's layoff is the time he now has spent with DD. before he was out by 5am and in at 7:30pm and didn't even know her-kwim? now he knows her as well as i do and is amazing with her. i know that something will come up for your DH that really is even better and in the meantime he is getting time with Cailen that he can never get back!
