Testing with FMU
Hi all, I am using an anonymous name for now, but have a few questions about testing and whatnot. This is my first cycle off BCP and I'm on CD37. I was on BC for over 10 years and honestly can't even remember how regular my cycles were before being on it. I know they weren't like clockwork, but don't remember them being that bad.
We weren't charting or using any OPK's this month, just not being careful since it was our first month TTC and I know it sometimes takes a few months to regulate once off BCP. I tested last Saturday afternoon with the FR early detection test and got a negative. I was going to test again in a week if I still didn't get AF, which will be tomorrow.
Now to my question (sorry for the long backstory). Is it better to test with FMU or does it not really matter?
Thanks ladies!

Re: Testing with FMU
Yes it is better to test with FMU. I believe it has to do with the fact that its more concentrated.
Good luck

Re: Testing with FMU
Thanks! That actually reminds me that i forgot to mention that I usually go to the bathroom several times during the night so it seems that by the time I get up in the morning my urine might not be as concentrated as someone who doesn't go the whole night. Not sure if that would matter.

Re: Testing with FMU
Testing with FMU is usually recommended if you are testing before your expected date of AF. Once you are late, it doesn't matter when you test, there should be enough HcG in your urine at all times to be detected on an HPT. Since you don't know when your AF is due though, testing with FMU isn't a bad idea. However it can take a few months for your cycle to adjust - if you go more than 2 months without AF and test BFN you should call your dr.
