Testing opinion ... (flowerwife, need not respond)

I really don't want to test before going to work. I also don't want to wait for my beta to get the results. So, I will be testing with non FMU.


You would think I'd be a pro at this by now but in your opinion, is 11dpo reasonable to test if it's not FMU, but with an FRER?

It is possible that you'll get an accurate test, but if it's BFN (and I it's not), you're going to be wondering and wondering if it would be positive if you use FMU tomorrow, so you'll end up retesting in the morning anyhow!

i always "try" to wait as long as possible, close to expected AF, to test. This way I waste as little tests as possible. Personally, I might wait a bit longer but thats easier said when its not you. lol.

If it were me, I'd probably use fmu even if it was before work, but I totally get why you don't want to do that. I would say 11 dpo should be pretty reliable if you hold it for 3-4 hours. I truly hope this is it for you!

In my opinion, yes it is reasonable to test without FMU with FRER at 11dpo. The one time I was pregnant, I tested at night (i think maybe at 7), at 11dpiui, and it was definitely clearly pregnant.

If you MUST, then I would hold it for at least 4 hours with no drinking to make the urine as concentrated as possible.

Try to hold out until FMU if you can.

I think it's early to not use FMU, but if I were you I'd have trouble waiting and probably do it anyway! Just remember that a BFN doesn't mean BFN with non-FMU! Good Luck!!

My thoughts exactly. Test now, and if it's a BFN ( that it's not!), you can still test with FMU tomorrow for a more accurate reading.

But I think 11dpo with a FRER will be pretty accurate to begin with. Good luck!!!

I have to hold out until Friday (damn you HCG shots) but I am starting to feel PMS symptoms.

The two times I had a positive I didn't get BFP till 12DPO. If you're not using FMU I would try to wait the extra day.

I would say yes, just make sure your urine is not very diluted with water.....maybe don't drink anything from like 3pm on so that when you test when you get home from work, your urine is pretty concentrated.

When I was pregnant with my DD I tested BFP the evening of 11DPIUI.....

I actually get better results in the afternoon. Just make sure your urine is really concentrated (like super dark yellow!). I don't think it's too late, I've always gotten something by 11dpo in the evening. Good luck!

eh.. i am torn and i would say NO, not reasoNable. A little too early, I think even for FRER. I would say yes with FMU, but non-FMU i say Nope.

I know it's not what you want to hear but I would wait and test with FMU! Try to be strong!
