Testing

I've had a nagging feeling that I wont be able to conceive. Before TTC I want to see my OBGYN and make sure everything is ok. My last visit she said I was but, she didn't do any testing. Is there a test to find out for sure?

BTW, I'll be 35 in August.

I believe you can ask to have bloodwork done to check your hormone levels and your husband can have a sperm analysis test done. But don't doubt yourself and make yourself crazy. Stay positive and believe that if you and DH are healthy, give it some time. Trust me, I know that is easier said than done

I wanted to get tests done because I too thought I would have trouble TTC. My periods were always very irregular. Well my OB said just try for 6 months and if it doesn't happen come back to me. I got pregnant on cycle 3 and I have a healthy son now. It's taking me a little longer TTC #2 even though my period is now so much more regular since having my son. I am not too concerned just yet but I wouldn't mind starting the testing sooner rather than later. I think that if you really want the tests now they will do them but I think that you should TTC for a few months first and see how it goes. I know it seems like an eternity to wait but even the tests won't give you a complete picture.
