Temping

Since I am currently in limbo, neither in the 2ww or WTO, I decided to play with my new basal thermometer.

My normal temperature is around 97.5 degrees on a regular thermometer at any point in the day. This afternoon, my temp was 99.2 on a regular thermometer and 99.01 on the basal thermometer.

So since I have nothing better to do like track DPO or days until O, is it safe to assume when my temp starts falling back to normal AF will show?

Thank you!

Re: Temping

You don't know what you normal temp is though if you haven't been temping all cycle.

Also, when you temp with a BBT, you want to take your waking temp - that is what basal temperature is.

You want to temp at the same time each morning, the moment you wake up before ANY activity (talking, getting up to pee, etc.). You'll need to do this throughout your entire cycle to be able to see your body's patterns.

Another thing - some people's temps don't drop until the day AF comes.

At this point in your cycle, I would not recommend temping. Wait until CD 1 of the next one and then start.

I agree.

There's nothing taking your temperature throughout the day can tell you about your cycle. There are so many variables involved! You must take it first thing in the AM and even then, one or two temps is not going to tell you anything. You need to look at your body's unique temp pattern.
