Tell me about Hershey Park
I was only there once, when I was about 5 years old. I don't remember much.
Is it best to go in the spring/summer? Is it mostly or all outside? Are there a lot of water rides, which would make us want to go in the summer?
Also , can you recommend a place to stay.
Thanks!

Re: Tell me about Hershey Park
we have gone twice in the past 2 yrs with out kids who are now 2.5 and 4.5-we love it. we also do Dutch Wonderland so we say realtively close to both @ Eden Suites which we loved too. it's closed to Dutch Wonderland though. as for Hershey it's worth the trip between the park and chocolate world it is so much fun. we never did the water part or anything but it looked like fun! we went in the summertime and it was crowded but during the week so it wasn't too bad. and it is mostly outside/outside rides.

Re: Tell me about Hershey Park
We went this past August to Hershey and had a great time. My DS had a ball (we all did)..He was 4 at the time of the trip and DD was 2, but, she was still able to go on some rides (carousel, monorail, kissing tower).
We didn't do the water park. The day we went it was actually a cool/breezy day for August and it did rain for a few mins. The amusement park is all out doors and Chocolate World is indoors.
I **think** we stayed at a Hampton Inn (sad, I don't remember..LOL).
Other places we visited during our stay were:
Hands on House Christmas Museum Turkey Hill (the ice cream) Experience (Thanks to Bops for all of these recommendations....I ran into her (another LIFer) during our trip.
Such a fun trip.

Re: Tell me about Hershey Park
IT's phenomenal for little kids (also Dutch Wonderland). If you go to Dutch wonderland, I would stay in Best Western Eden resorts. You get alot for your $$ there.
Hershey has a lot of kiddie rides and a water section. If you think your kids will like water fun, then go in the summer. Although for their age there are just 2 or 3 things (water play areas) for them. My DD hated them. Basically water areas they can walk through, get buckets dumped on their heads, etc. Also...Eden resorts has a water spray play area for the kids, really nice...I would go in the summer just to use that honestly.
What else do you want to know?
