Teething
DD (8 months) finally had her first tooth break through her gums. She has been so irritable the past 2 days and is drooling like crazy. I'm thinking another one will be popping through soon. I didn't realize we could get back to back teeth like this. Has this happened to anyone else? I feel so bad for her because you can just tell she is so uncomfortable.

Yes - it's common to get 2 teeth close together, especially the first two.

DS always got 2 in a row.
First - bottom 2 within days
2nd- top 2 with days of each other (about a month or so after the bottom)
3rd - top sides - about a week apart
4th - top molars - about a week apart.
He is 16 months and we are waiting on the bottom sides and molars which all look like they are coming soon.

Dd got her first two teeth on the bottom at the same time. Now one of her top teeth popped through about a week ago and I can see the other one working it's way through. I wish it would hurry up because she has also been very irritable, drooling like crazy and waking up a lot during the night.

Aw, yep DD cut her two bottom teeth within 5 days of each other. Hope your DD's other tooth works its way out soon!

Yes, she's been like this since yesterday. So irritable. Her nose is also running a lot. I gave her advil last night and this morning. Poor thing

I've always been thankful to get them close together. No need to spread out the pain imo. The first two were the toughest for DD, after that she got 5 in about 3 weeks time and it still wasn't as bad as the first two.

At 6.5 mos DD got both lower teeth within in a week of eachother! Now 2 weeks later she is still waking up and acting off - I wonder if she has more coming???? Oy vey!
