Teachers...
I got my class list today! I can't believe it...the summer has gone so fast! I'm looking forward to it though, and I'm happy that my first year is behind me!

I wish I had my class list, but since I teach resource room, I get it on the first day. I am excited to step foot in the door for the first day of TENURE!!!!!

Oh I'm totally not ready either. I'm VERY nervous actually, but that's nothing new for me :) I'm actually looking forward to it, because I learned a lot, and got a lot of ideas from my summer classes. But other than that, I LOVE the summer!

Congratulations! Me too! This is my 2nd tenure (I switched tenure areas 2 years ago) and I am so happy to have it again! It's the BEST feeling!
I am SO not ready to go back! I am actually going to plan with one of my friends today  and it's beautiful out!  At least she has a pool!

I can't believe how fast the summer has gone, either! I got a phone call from my program director yesterday to discuss scheduling and I told her that I was sorry, but I still have a few weeks of summer left Although, I'm actually looking forward to going back. I do love my job and I like a regular schedule.

oh dont get me wrong I LOVE my job and like having a regular schedule. once i am back in my routine i'll be good to go. but they start the back to school talk so ealry. They had back to school commericals in JULY!!!
I just want to enjoy whats left of the next few weeks..

As much as I HATE to admit it, yes I have been tot he teacher store already- LL Weans that is. Only got a few things but I stepped in there already which I normally dont do until the end of August... i guess I should get going onthe regular supplies!

thats whay i think makes me mad.. this is the second year in a row that we are going back BEFORE Labor Day.. And not just one day, TWO days- both Thurs and Friday before Labor Day... it stinks. I like going back the Tues after Labor day and the kids come back that Wednesday!!! I mean really....:-

I want August to drag, but I don't think it is happening. I can't believe how fast this summer went. I plan on starting to get my classroom ready on August 22nd. We go back the 1st and the kids go back on the 7th.

I did try to call my student teacher this morning to introduce myself and she was still sleeping at 10:38am!   I hope this isn't an indicator of bad things to come. I was told that she was going to be good from a very, very reliable source!

you cant judge her from sleeping in on a summer day.. i have been known to do that on an occasion or two!! woke up at 10:45 this morning!!
