Teachers?
BTDT moms or FTM who are close.....what are your plans for leaving work? Did you get to decide to leave a little early?

Re: Teachers?
My DS was due mid-October. My original plan was to work up until my due date, but my back started to hurt a lot, and I have a long commute, so I stopped 2 weeks early.

Teachers?
I worked right up until 2 days before I had DS. I wanted to save all my time for when I was with him after. It was a very good decision. I had no trouble working at 39 weeks at all. I'm glad I saved my time.

With this baby im just waiting to see if condition develops again and ill go from there since then ill definetly be a repeat c/s and ill work to as close to that date as I can.

Same here. I made sure I was less than 60 days to the end of the school year so I would still have the option of 2 full years of leave. My doctor wrote a note saying when my last day would be and they actually wouldn't let me work past that.

Re: Teachers?
You can leave earlier but lose your time. With my DD I worked until 1 day before I was due (I was due on Christmas Eve) had her 12/28 via c section and took 8 weeks.

Re: Teachers?
My girlfriend who is due late June won't get to use her six weeks so she is going to play June by ear depending on the heat and how she feels ... She is using the days in her CAR either way
