Re: Teacher Appreciation Week
Our PTA buys lunch for all of the teachers. Parents volunteer to bring in the adds, drinks, desserts, etc... I'll be sending a tray of salad. I think it would be nice to send in a little something for their teachers specifically, but my kids have 6 teachers between the two of them

Re: Teacher Appreciation Week
I do a plant for teacher appreciation/Mother's Day. I'm also a teacher and know my kids' teachers personally, so I like to recognize them for this "holiday". I do a regular end of the year gift also.

This exact thing. I went to a local fruit market and got them each a little Geranium. I wrapped it up in a gift bag with some tissue and ribbon. Adorable and inexpensive. I had the girls "write" in each teacher's card.

Re: Teacher Appreciation Week
Our class mom collected money to buy a class gift. It's good because I have no time or ideas to buy anything myself

We don't do it anymore because my kids are in middle and high school, but every year we used to do a Mason Jar filled with M & M's with this poem on a tag.

Teacher Appreciation Week
I'm the president of the PTL at our school. We did a special lunch yesterday and gave them all plants with a $100 visa gift card stuck inside. For my kindergartener she gave her teacher a homemade card and a basket with nail polish, aloe socks, foot lotion, and a pedicure kit. For her religion teacher we gave her flowers and a coffee mug. My son took in a bottle of wine and a glass that said I may be the reason you drink( this was given to her by me and I explained to open it after class lol) and for his aide a flower pot with roses in it.

Re: Teacher Appreciation Week
nope nothing
She deserves not a single thing. The school PTA has lots of stuff planned for the week.
Me? I called to say I'm fed up with the treatment of my daughter. The unkind words used by the teacher and her hell bent determination to crush my daughter's love of learning. Any one who calls themselves a teacher but also shakes their arms and fists in frustration, screams loudly and tells my daughter to 'wake up her brain' or that she 'won't make it to 3rd grade' needs a damn chill pill and not a potted flower. So my crafty self vetoed the week. No thank you. I don't believe I'll be investing in an end of year present either.
she can suck it.

Re: Teacher Appreciation Week
Gift cards for the teacher and two assistants and I dropped off a cookie cake that said We Love Teachers. My DD is in a Twos program and she loves it. I got to know them all well when I was on maternity leave from dropping off and picking up DD. I really do appreciate them so much. The age is so hard.
