Target return question
I bought an Our Generation doll at a great price. I'd love to exchange it for a different one (same type, different doll), assuming they have the one I like better. Will they just swap it for me, or do I have to do the "no receipt" return that counts against some limit for the year?

Target return question
I would think that if you went and picked another doll in the store and brought it to the customer service desk with the one you want to bring back, they should do the even exchange for you.

Re: Target return question
Yes definitely - my sister works for target and they are always told to ensure the customer is happy. if the person at customer service gives you a hard time, just ask for a manager and they will definitely do it.

I think they would. I have always been extremely happy with the customer service at target. They're awesome.

Target return question
I don't think there is any limit on "no receipt" returns. I never keep my Target receipts and return stuff there all the time

Target return question
Thanks. I didn't know they were so flexible. I'm just not sure if met my "no receipt" return limit yet and I don't want to ask DH to do it. I met it somewhere (Target or Walmart) at sometime (this year or last), but I can't recall, lol. In the meantime...kids found the doll and were crying when I said I was returning it.

There is. I forget what it is, maybe $100/yr.

Re: Target return question
I don't think they will be so accommodating. I once tried to exchange sheets for a different color - the item was even on my registry. It was over $20 and they wouldn't return or even exchange it for the same item without a receipt. This was years ago, but it is the main reason I rarely shop at Target.

This is totally not their policy now. I don’t recall it ever being their policy TBH...I think you just encountered a jerk!

I have heard about this before (on here), but I'm sure I return way more than that every year, and I almost never keep my receipt. I've never had anyone question it or give me a hard time. Does it make a difference if the purchases are on a Target Red Card (which is what I always use when I shop there)?

If you do it on your red card they can look it up on the card so it's not considered no receipt. If you didn't use your red card, and they have to return it with no receipt and no record of it(they usually ask for your driver's license in that case) that is where the limit might apply

Target return question
Yes if on a cc they can look it up and it counts as a receipt. If they can’t find it then it counts against the limit

Got it - makes sense.
