tape over c/s stitches.....
Should I remove them myself or let the doctor do it? They are coming up on the sides and are very sticky.

I think that you can remove them with warm soapy water..I'm pretty sure that is what I did

i removed them but then when i went to see the doc he said did u take them off urself im like yea hes like oh i said i shouldnt have he said not really but its fine so i dont know bottom line nothing bad happened when i took them off

My rule was when they started peeling off, i took them off. I was a baby though, i worked from the outside in and only took 1-2 off at a time.
My only rule my doc had, don't show up at your 6 weeks check up with them on. He wanted them off within a week. I wasn't ready for that!

I didn’t touch them, I was afraid it would hurt. When I went for my 4 week appt, my dr ripped the remaining ones off. Some had fallen off themselves.

My doc said to remove them within one week of having the staples taken out.

I was told not to take them off at all, but to let them fall off. When they started peeling up so they weren't even on the incision anymore and looked gross I just took them off. I was probably close to about 6 weeks at that point.

My dr. told me to remove them after 2 weeks . He told me to remove them in the shower when they were wet.

Are they steri strips? If so I was told NOT to touch them - and to let them fall off on their own. The one of two left the Dr removed.
