Talk to me about Spain
DH and I are planning a trip for June. I'd like to see 2-3 cities. Anyone ever been? Where should we stay and what should we definitely see and do??

I have been, gorgeous country.
My favorite city was Seville. I would defintly go there! Second fav Barcelona.
Costa Del Sol in the Spanish Riveria was amazing as well.
When I went we took a tour and also went to Portugal. Not sure how long you are going, but I would defintely go to Portugal if I could--gorgeous country.

I loved everything about Barcelona, I would stay as long as possible.
The only other place I went to was Madrid and I wouldn't recommend more than two days.

I agree @ Madrid--but I generally am not a big city kinda gal...I prefer more quaint cities.

We went to Spain on our honeymoon about 7 1/2 years ago and love it. I agree about Madrid. It was a nice city, but not one of my favorites. Our favorite city was Seville. We also enjoyed our time in Marbella on the Costa del Sol.

I have only been to Barcelona but I loved it.
I don't remember the name of the hotel, but it was right on Las Ramblas!

definately the costa del sol. my uncle owned a bar in fuengirola (sp?) and the area was so nice (although ive heard it has since changed) nice day trips are to a cute little village called mijas and you definately need to go to the alhambra.
have a great trip
we also took a day trip to gibraltar.

I went all over Spain, absolutely awesome country.
Barcelona for the nightlife, and of course Gaudi
Seville don't miss Alcazar and the gardens
San Sebastian in the Northeast Basque country for the beach and tapas

IF you have time go to southern Spain and hit the port of Gilbraitor and you can take a 40 minute ferry ride to Tangiers, Morrocco!!!! FABULOUS!

definitely barcelona and sevilla! also valencia.
definitely consider hopping a flight on Spanair from Barcelona to Palma de Mallorca, Malaga, or one of the other islands/coastal area!

I did a bus tour that started/ended in Madrid. It was an amazing way to see the country. It is absolutely beautiful.

Same here. I plan to go back and visit some more cities but I LOVED Barcelona!! Our hotel was right off of Las Ramblas (I think it was called The Rialto).
Tons to do and see. Lots of Gaudi art and architecture, The Picasso Musuem, La Sagrada Familia church (amazing!), great food (mmmm, paella and sangria - heaven  ) and lots of nightlife!
