Talk to me about elderberry
If you give it to your kids, do you buy it? Make it? Does it work to boost immunity?
My girls have been sick since Dec 14th--stomach virus, whopping head cold, pink eye. Last night DD1, who still has rotten cold broke out in hives from head to toe and doc said it's probably viral. I can't take it and winter has barely started. They're on vitamins. I want to get them back on a high quality probiotic (I used to give it as babies and we fell out of the routine). But also curious about elderberry. TIA!

Talk to me about elderberry
I buy it Zarbees has an elderberry gummy and sambucol has a liquid for kids. I think it def works. It's not cheap to buy so I don't really do it every day but the moment I see something starting I give it and it passes pretty quickly.
It's obviously cheaper to make. Leb makes hers.

I buy Natures Way, and I give it daily in the winter months. It is not cheap, but too me it works, so the money spent is worth it if I can keep them healthy and cut the duration of any cold they do pick up.
I also give multi vitamins and a probiotic daily.

Yes, it is liquid form. They both drink it with no problem. It is thick and sweet though, so that may be weird in the beginning. I gave it to DD in a syringe first and squirted it little by little. Now she drinks it right out of the cap. I get the berry flavor not the honey one. That one did NOT go over well - had to throw the whole thing out.

The sambucol is sweet like candy so I am sure they will like it!
I take it myself. I don't give it to my DD because it's expensive and she is pretty much never sick so I feel she doesn't need it.
I on the other hand could use the immune boost!
