Re: Taking your child out of school for a week for Disney
I would definitely take my kids out of school for a week...it's so worth it. My parents took us out to go to disney and we had such an awesome time. I would only prob do it once while they're little, not make it an annual thing though. I think the memories are so worth it, and really a week of school is not a huge deal in the scheme of things. I will prob aim to go in early january again like we did last time. It was gorgeous weather, but if you want to do water rides it may be too cold. We had about mid 70's every day. And very very small waits for rides. It was an awesome trip!!

Early Oct or Nov would be nice and not too crowded.
We had plans to go this year in May but had to change do to illness. First week in May and end of April is suppose to be low crowd time.
I have gone mid/late Oct even during not so Halloween thing and it was fine. A little crowded closer to Halloween but fine. It was still 80's too so we were able to swim.
WE went December and it was packed!!!!!!!!!!! And it was a week those corwd predictors say low crowds. 2 weeks before the holiday. And it was freeeezzzzinnng. Talking 30's in florida! They told us it was unseasonable.
