taking baby aspirin

I thought I saw on one of the threads here that you should take a baby aspirin while ttc: does anyone know anything about this, and how often do you take it?

There is some research to suggest that taking a daily dose of baby aspirin can actually help with fertility as well. Baby aspirin helps to increase the flow of blood to the uterus. This, in turn, makes the uterine lining healthier, and helps with successful implantation. Other studies suggest that aspirin actually increases the amount of activity in your ovaries, and allows your ovaries to release multiple eggs during ovulation. Some health care providers may actually prescribe baby aspirin if you are having trouble with fertility issues.

I believe the baby aspirin is for people with clotting issues. Meaning, if you tend to have a lot of blood clots, baby aspirin is supposed to thin out your blood (regardless of whether you are TTC). I would urge you to read up on it a little more before starting bc if you already have thin blood, it's probably not a good idea. I asked about this once on another thread bc I was concerned that sometimes during AF I get rather large clots (TMI) and I didnt know if this was something to be concerned with. I resolved to not take any unnecessary meds without speaking to my doctor first. If I dont get pregnant in the next month or so, I may make an appt and bring it up with my OB/Gyn.

I took baby aspirin the first few weeks of my pregnancy because I was found to have a clotting disorder.
However, my RE told me NOT to take it before being diagnosed, because it can actually cause bleeding.
I wouldn't do this without talking to your doctor first.
