does this day still exist?
i know it used to be in april. if it still exists, does anyone know what day it is this year?

Yes, it still exists. I'm not sure what day it is though (my company usually observes it on a separate day since we're usually busy that day).
ETA - I just did a Google search and it's Thurs 4/25
