Swollen Feet
What do you ladies wear on your feet? Mine are swollen and just wearing sneakers make them worse..I've been wearing flip flops around but afraid of tripping. Need something comfy and supportive!

Re: Swollen Feet
I'm having the same issue. My dr. says no flip flops but nothing fits my feet. My normally narrow feet have turned into Fred Flintstone feet. My dr. said go get some cheap shoes at Payless.

Re: Swollen Feet
This isn't answering your question -- but try to soak your feet (or you whole body) in an epsom salt bath. I do this a few times a week. I think it's preventing swelling.

Why does your dr say no flip flops? They're all I wear!

Same. When I was pregnant in the summer with my DD that's the only thing that fit. I couldn't squeeze into anything else.

Re: Swollen Feet
Crocs flip flops are a god send because they have arch support and are easy to slip on

Re: Swollen Feet
the epsom salt is a great idea this works with me. Also elevating my feet help a lot! but once i go back to walking and work it goes back to swelling! my doctor say that the techniques i am using is fine but my feet are gonna swell up again because of all the water I am retaining. She also suggested the compression stockings but because its summer time they might feel uncomfortable. Another home care remedy I was just told to try is mint oil and a little of olive oil and massage your feet with it

Re: Swollen Feet
Thanks Ladies I have some flip flops and I just got a pair of crocs! I need something where I do not have to bend over..it's such a chore...you should see me trying to shave my legs!!! Ugh!!!! I didn't realize how big my belly is until I was in a changing room at Motherhood yesterday. I don't have a long mirror at home so that was the first time I saw my pregnant belly!!!!

Re: Swollen Feet
I wear flip flops b/c it's the only thing that fits. She gave me some long song and dance about tripping and ending up at a foot surgeon ....she's a bit of an extremist.

Re: Swollen Feet
At this point I only have one pair of flip flops that fit me and I bought them at Payless last year. They are the Champion brand and have a lot of cushion and support. I've tried to find them again this year but I have yet to see them in any of the stores I've been to.

Re: Swollen Feet
Flip flops & slides. No support really at all but that's all I can fit my feet into & even then I get deep grooves in my feet from the bands. My feet/ankles look freakish & feel heavy & painful. I'm pretty sure my calves are swollen too. Ugh. In the morning when I first get up they're a little better but once I get home from work they're really bad.

Re: Swollen Feet
I think the reason for no flip flops, besides tripping, is that with more support, it helps reduce the swelling, along the same lines of the compression stockings.
