Swim Lessons - how long?
DD1 is 4 and swims daily at camp, so I am deciding if it is best to do private lessons when camp ends since she is so comfortable in the pool now, or if we should start before next summer? How many lessons would it take her to actually know how to swim? If we do it now, will she remember how to swim next summer if she doesn't swim for a few months? Thanks!

Swim Lessons - how long?
I was actually debating the same thing and decided to wait until Winter/Spring to start classes.

Swim Lessons - how long?
dd is 5 and been swimming for 2 years now. I want her to be a really strong swimmer so we continue. We usually do a fall session, spring, and then 1 summer. We are done now until the fall. She's am amazing swimmer now. We started with 2 sessions of private lessons then moved to classes.
For me I would keep it up. but that depends on what you want her to do

What does "2 sessions of private lessons" mean? How many private lessons per session?

Re: Swim Lessons - how long?
DS did camp w lessons last year & swam before camp started this year (we went on vacation in the spring & he just swam).
He's not a competitive swimmer... But can swim across a large deep pool.
