Saf-T-Swim Lessons - Did you continue after first session?
Thomas is half way through his first session. He cried almost the whole first class with brief moments of not crying... Second lesson he cried worse leading up to the class because he knew what was coming this time, but then stopped crying by the time I got to the viewing room and did GREAT. Then we skipped a week for Memorial Day weekend and I think that threw him off because his third class was as bad as first plus he cried the whole way there in the car.
He is always happy after and seems proud of himself and speaks highly of it... Lisa teach me kick! I swim in water!
Also, his instructor, who I like very much - she's very good with him, is changing to weekdays which I cannot do... If I sign him up again, it would be with another instructor. How much worse would that be on him? He likes her, but how attached could he be after six 1/2 hour lessons?
I'm torn on whether I should sign him up again with a different instructor or just forget it since it breaks my heart to feel like I'm torturing him as he clings to me for dear life and the instructor pulls him away from me??
Thanks!!

I think you should continue with it. It is so important that he learns how to swim.

Thank you both!
Anyone else have any insight or experience with switching instructors after first session? Thanks!

Re: Saf-T-Swim Lessons - Did you continue after first session?
Sorry I missed your post. I'm not on here as much as I used to be.
Him crying is completely normal. I think it's great that he speaks highly after the lesson, so I would definately go with more. It sucks when having to change instructors, but sometimes he will have a substitute instructor anyway. So he should get used to other people.
Test other instructors out. Just because you sign up with one doesn't mean that is the one you have to stay with. Does he have more lessons in this session? If so, try to watch other instructors and see if you like another one.
If you don't like another instructor you are given, change! But that doesn't mean you want to try a different instructor everyday.
I hope this helps. Anymore questions, please FM me.
