Before anyone gets their panties in a bunch, I do NOT condone what was done. But I do think something is off about the boy's affect and I think that is what's behind these comments.

So wrong. There is huge speculation that this child is autistic -bearing that in mind whether its true or not true but especially if it is true then he is completely off limits. Cruel and heartless. They should be ashamed of themselves. Kids are off limits always.

He is either autistic or has Asbergers (common but "quiet" knowledge).
Because of this he appears to be a certain way...which is making him a target.
It would be great if the Trump's came out and announced this so *I believe* it might be easier for him.
To be clear I do not condone any of the comments.

No. I'm pretty sure most people who have posted in this thread saying this woman's comments were disgusting are the same people who said trump was disgusting for mocking a person with disabilities.
The poster right above you said it's common knowledge Baron is autistic. The Trump family attorney has said he does not have autism. It is wrong for anyone to continue to suggest he does.

They don't need to come out and announce anything to make it "easier " for him. The people attacking this child need to stop. Whether this boy has special needs or he doesn't it is Not for us to say IF the parents would announce this, incidents and mocking like this wouldnt have happened. It should not have happeneded in the first place.

Children are off limits. Period.
Anyone who is not a doctor and has had extensive meetings with him should not even be speculating on what he has or what he doesn't. Maybe he's just a bored 10 year old that would rather be playing on his Ipad than being up for 24 hours listening to a bunch of adults. I commend him for being so well behaved because if my 10 year old had to endure the days that he does, she would be a screaming bratty mess.

Why exactly do people think there is something wrong with him? He's a 10 year old boy thrown into this madness surrounding his dad. I felt terrible that he was left to walk by himself behind the rest of his siblings with millions of people watching him. I thought he looked sad and lonely too. When he was sitting he just looked bored which seems normal to me for someone his age. Not really sure how other parents would expect their child to act any differently in that situation.

Do you really want a response or am I getting set up to get crucified?
Honestly, his eye contact and affect seem out of sync. OF COURSE no one should be diagnosed based on videos!!! That is unethical. but I simply thought it was an interesting question. If the boy was missing an arm for example, everyone would visually see and I bet the reason would be put out there.
But with mental, cognitive and developmental disorders, you can't see them as obviously. But how much good could be done if these disorders were more openly discussed and awareness and research were increased. I think of Rosemary Kennedy and how the family hid her brain damage and cognitive/behavioral problems from the public. And how much good could have come. I just think the stigma still surrounding these disorders is so unfortunate.
Anyway, I was unaware there was a statement put out that he does not suffer from autism. That settles it then.

I don't recall the Obama children being called racists names. If they were that is just as unacceptable and i am quite sure there was just as much outrage over that as this.
