Sunglasses
I need prescription sunglasses (I'm terrible with contacts) so I got a nice pair of Rayban aviators that I wear all the time. I got them from Lenscraftrs, who I will not likely ever go back to because there was such a mess up with the insurance (which we provided at the time of the visit, and after MUCH leg work on my end, we ended up getting MINIMAL money back, but should have been reimbursed a lot).

I scratched up my expensive glasses terribly. Just replaced them with a cute pair of polarized cheapies from target!

Re: Sunglasses
I have tons of sunglasses since DH is in the business but I always go back to my Ray Bans. Same goes for DH..he always goes back to his Ray Bans. They are so comfortable and if you go to legit discount places like Nordstrom Rack, etc you can usually get them for a good price.

It depends on how careful you are with your sunglasses. I invest a lot of money in my own sunglasses, most run me 350-$500, most people would say thats insane, but i am a fanatic with my glasses, i don't wear them on my head ever because that stretches them out, i dont clip them onto my shirt, because when you bend down they can fall. When i go into a store they go immediately in the case. I have never broke, scratched, dropped or lost a pair, i wear them on the boat, jetski, beach, in the ocean so its not like i baby them and don't use them, i am just super careful.
I also find that when you get yourself a nicer, more expensive pair, you tend to automaticaly be more careful with it. I never put them on my head or on my shirt like mentioned above anymore. I was really careless with my cheapies, Not so much with my nicer ones.
I see your much like me...I always break my cheap ones...I fear buying an expensive pair, but hey, I have some found money, and I will be more careful, like you say... Where did you buy your pricey pair, online as well?
I got mine at Sunglass Hut They are fabulous! Sunglass Hut has so many brands and designers. You can't go wrong.

Just an update... I went to sunglasses hut, and tried on an array of glasses to see what I liked the best. Then I went home and bought a pair of Maui Jim's online... I love the look and fit!! $300-ish and free shipping...thanks for all the advise!!

I have 3 pairs I alternate with. Michaels kors (these are 2 years old and perfect condition and I wear them on my head all of the time) I have a pair of ray bans that I love but they stretch our so easily (and I don't wear those on my head). Drives me nuts they get so loose so fast. And I also have my tom fords that are my fav! They were actually TOO tight when I first bought them but after use stretched a little and are perfect.

Re: Sunglasses
I only wear Maui Jims. I tried designer sunnies, but they don't compare. DH only wears Maui Jims (prescription) as well.

I wish I could be like that. I can't tell you how many pairs of sunglasses I have lost, scratched and broken this is why I buy all my sunglasses at Marshalls and never pay more than $20. I'm inspired by you to get better about my sunglasses now

I find what helps is that when you buy a really good pair, they usually come with a nice hard case . that has been a God send in keeping them safe in my purse!
