Summer Mommies
What kind of take home outfit do you plan on using? I am wondering are shorts or a short sleeve set going to be ok for a newborn or do they still need to be covered up? I am due in August and figured it would be at it's warmets by then.

Re: Summer Mommies
We bought a dress with a little cardigan and will most likely cover the baby with a blanket.

Re: Summer Mommies
I don't know if they make shorts for newborns, but I could be wrong. Those little pants are tiny enough. I'm a Spring Mom so I picked out a light, long-sleeve top and bottoms and will have the matching recieving blanket, but short-sleeves or a dress is pretty too for the summer and the baby will be bundled up. He/she isn't really going to be outside at all anyway and whereever the baby is I'm sure the AC will be kicking.

Re: Summer Mommies
we're probably going with a little dress and just going to use a blanket to keep her warm. For once she's home and in the A/C it will probably be the light cotton footed rompers/sleepers. They're cute enough and will keep her warm enough with the A/C on.

Re: Summer Mommies
I have not decided on an outfit yet for our little boy. I have a ton of clothes, but not "the" outfit. I am so super anal with things like this, and I want the outfit to be perfect...lol.

Re: Summer Mommies
Once I know what I am having, I will start to shop for the coming home outfit. As an August mommy too, I will most likely be getting some type of a shorts onesie it if a boy & a dress with a blanket if it is a girl

Re: Summer Mommies
First of all you do not know if you are going to go home during the day or at night. I left the hospital at 9pm ..... and it was july and it was also raining. Additionally babies can not regulate their body temp themselves.
I had my daughter in a onesie with a blanket on . Like a footed long sleeved onesie and a hat.
