Yes, I heard a lot of rumors about her a few years ago.
Is this why she was retired for a while? What was unprofessional? i am booked with her also thats why I am curious!
I booked her for a newborn shoot and she completely ghosted me when it was time to do the photos. She completely ignored my emails, phone calls, etc. Same thing happened to my best friend. I had to scramble to get another photographer. Recently, on a local mom's board, another girl I know well posted that the same thing happened to her. People began to step forward saying that the same thing happened to them.
Wow. That's so unprofessional. I'm sorry you had a bad experience.
She was pretty vocal a while back about her struggles with depression. She went completely MIA for a long while, perhaps that was why she ghosted you? She seems to be pretty active again on social media so I'm hoping things with her personally and professionally are better now.

I am sorry that happened to you and your friend. I don't know her and have never worked with her but I do know that she went through a serious state of depression. She posted about it a few years ago - I forget the whole story - but from what I remember she was in a pretty bad. She had taken time off, tried to come back slowly and then I think took some more time. I remember coming across it when looking for a newborn photographer.
I am not making excuses for her being unprofessional but depending on the timing it could be why you had such a bad experience.
