suggestions on getting rid of old school medals UPDATED
my mother gave me back  old medals from junior high. I hate throwing things into the landfill. Any suggestions on what to do with these things? They are not personalized.

You could see if anyone locally is accepting donations to reuse them.

If they aren't personalized, try asking the school. I know ours gives out token things for everything so maybe they could use them.

Local Scout groups, daycares, intramural sports teams. I would think some of those groups would like to either hand those out as-is, or modify them as random trophies for some activity.

Try reaching out to some local non-profits in your area and see. Or you can donate to Goodwill.

yes agree! i hate throwing stuff into the landfill. i'm like obsessive about it to the point where dh is like um you are nuts

Great update! I'm with you. I don't like to toss things and if I can't donate I prefer to accumulate them, because I feel guilty just throwing them out. DH does our spring cleaning when I'm not around for that reason.
