Suffolk bans drop side cribs

I am concerned for a friend who has a hand me down, drop side crib, I just don't know if she has the brand that they mentioned. When she first got the crib, she was unsure of having the drop side, and I had told her that I had heard bad things, etc...

what do I do? bring this up to her? did they ban ALL drop sides, cause that what it sounds like to me....

I'd bring it up - better safe than sorry, right?

Do you have an article that you can send her maybe?

You can just send her an email that says "thought you might be interested in this... " and then copy/paste or link the article.

Re: Suffolk bans drop side cribs

i would def let her know...from my understanding it is a ban on ALL drop side cribs. There has also been recalls on other brands besides the ones that came out the other day, i think it just wasn't as big of a recall. IMHO i would give her a heads up and let her decide what she wants to do Chat Icon

I would let her know. They are saying to not use the crib at all, until the replacement pieces arrive. Most ppl can order a kit to fix the crib.

We have a drop side crib and will be getting rid of it and getting a new one, even thought it was not the brand recalled I just dont think they are safe. You should tell her.
