subway help, please

On Sunday we are going to the Yankees game. I have very little experience with the subway. So, can you just let me know that these directions do indeed get me to Yankee stadium.

We will take the LIRR to Penn station. Then walk to 34th and ???(Broadway) to Harold Square to catch the BD Line to 161 St. Yankee Stadium.

Now for the really stupid question. How do we know it is the BD train, is it marked on the train. And tell me I am worrying about this all for nothing.

The trains all say which ones they are. And you want the B or the D train. There is no such thing as the BD.

Go to HopStop -- this website will give you any information you need about subways and buses! You just enter your starting and ending address (like on mapquest) and it will give you the best route!

it will say on the signs leading to the station and on the train itself.

thanks for all the info. Yes, I know it is the B or D and that it is not BD line. But, I can take either the B or the D, then. Earlier someone wrote only the D. I did try Hot Spot but it did not show this way and this way seems so easy because there are no exchanges. Thanks again.
I know I worry too much and we will be just fine.
