Subway help

I'm heading to Jamaica Hospital in about a half an hr and I will take the E train there. I know that I could take the R train as well since I had to switch on my way back last time. The e train was taken out of service for a sick passenger. So my question is, if I take the R train, at what stop to I switch to the e train? I would like to take the R to the E since the R is right in front of my building.

I didn't make a mental note of it when I went last time.

TIA!

Re: Subway help

You would switch at Queens Plaza (if you are coming from Manhattan).

Re: Subway help

Take the R train to 71st/Continentail in Forest Hills (last stop on the R strain).

You could also switch to the E at Queens Plaza or Roosevelt Avenue.

Re: Subway help

I think it was Queens Plaza. How many stops is that from Van Wyck Expressway stop?

Are you near the F? You can take it to Kew Gardens/Union Turnpike and transfer to the E there - it's express through Queens.
