Re: Stupid question.. Do you /can you vacum woods floors?

I had so many issues when I first bought the house because of wood floors...I ended up buying a canister vacuum and love it....the only one that didn't spit stuff back out

I use the attachment and keep the vacuum on the area rug. I am afraid the wheels will damage the floor.

Re: Stupid question.. Do you /can you vacum woods floors?

Be careful. I have a vacuum that has an option for wood floors. I used it and damaged the finish on my new house's wood floor in 2 rooms. Apparently the beater bar marked up the glossy finish in 2 of my rooms even though the vacuum has a hardwood floor button that I used. Be warned!

My house is 99% wood floors. I use my Dyson all the time and then I use either swiffer wet or Murphy's oil right after!
