Stupid food questions

Do you buy the jars to use while home and the pouches for on the go?

Do you give it at room temp? Can you put the leftover in the fridge or does it get contaminated the moment the used spoon goes in?

If you can use leftovers, do you need to warm it up from the fridge?

Like I said, stupid questions....

not stupid. I do homemade food so not sure about the pouches but we went out the other nigth I warmed up her food before we went and gave it to her out.
I do use jarred prunes. When I first open it i give it room temp. Then I put the rest in the fridge. When I use the rest usually 24-48 hrs, I microwave it for 10 sec to take out the chill. I want her to get used to different temps, so food I don't make to hot. I never feed straight from the jar unless I am going to finish it.

I used both pouches and jars on the go. Both were simple to use!

Do you give it at room temp? Can you put the leftover in the fridge or does it get contaminated the moment the used spoon goes in?

Yes: gave it at room temp.
It does get contaminated when the spoon goes in... so I wouldn't use after 1 hr of feeding start (kinda like formula). If your kid doesn't eat much, you can put half in a bowl before they start eating (store other part in fridge)... then warm by placing glass jar with food in it in a cup of warm water.

If you can use leftovers, do you need to warm it up from the fridge?

Yes. Your kid probably won't eat it cold.

Like I said, stupid questions....

Not stupid. You will figure it out: trial & error (just don't put half eaten food in fridge!)

I scooped into a bowl and fed from there so the container wasn't contaminated. I used both for on the go, but hard/containers at home.

Yes, we buy jars for home and pouches for on the go. But when DS first started eating, we didn't give him pouches because we wanted him to learn how to eat off of a spoon. They also don't eat a lot of food at first and a pouch is pretty big. I'd wait about a month before you try pouches.

Do you give it at room temp? Can you put the leftover in the fridge or does it get contaminated the moment the used spoon goes in?
Yes, all food is given at room temperature. We serve the jars out of a separate bowl to avoid contamination. Any leftovers go into the fridge and can be served for 3 days.

We never rewarm food. Just serve it cold.
