Stupid diaper question

Sorry for my ignorance....but here goes

I have a package of size 1-2 swaddlers...it says up to 15 pounds.....What is the minimum weight for these??

When I look at the size 1, it says 8-12 lbs and size 2 says 13-18 lbs or something like that

I am so confused

they all overlap in weight....I have always found us using one size up, even if she's not near the weight limit for the size underneath.

At 1 year old, she's in size 5 which STARTS at 23 lbs (I think) and she was 20 lbs at her 1 year check.

I think it's 8 or 10 lbs for the min. for size 1 if I remember correctly. The sizes do overlap by a few pounds though, so you can be tight in size 1's and loose in size 2's (well, not YOU, but your baby LOL) we did that for a while when finishing up what was left in the old size.

Not a stupid quesiton I remember asking my ped when to move him up in size

I also think it depends on the babys proportions. DD was born at 7 pounds 1 ozs and was not out of newborns for a good month. She was narrow at the bottom.
