Stuck in current home
For those of you that wish to move but are currently "stuck" in your current home. What remidies are you looking into or are there none? TIA
Stuck meaning that your home value has dropped due to the market / no equity.

Do you mean stuck b/c the market went down so much and you couldnt sell your home?

We are stuck in this situation as well. I live in Merrick and would think in our area the prices of houses would have stayed up but not so much. Unfortunately if there are short sales or foreclosures in your area it affects the appraisal of your home in the long run.
There is a house around the block from me that is approx. the same size but has 4 bedrooms (we have 3) and is selling for $100k less than what we bought our home for in 2006.
I dont want to say we are stuck b/c we love our area BUT being we only have 3 bedrooms and are thinking about a 3rd child in a couple of years so things could get tight. Right now we are staying where we are. Hopefully in 3-4 years things pick up and we will revisit the idea of either selling and moving (if I can sell my house for what I bought it for) or possibly just add another bedroom upstairs.
