Strollers/Carseats

What is everyone doing? Are most people doing the travel system? I heard that the strollers for these are really heavy. I think i am just overwhelmed with all of the choices.

Strollers/Carseats

Consider starting with an infant car seat and a snap n go. See how often you use the stroller and what your likes and dislikes are. You can purchase a full-size stroller later on once you know more of what you want. There's definitely no need to have a stroller in the house before the baby is born. The snap n go basically turns the car seat into a stroller and is much lighter, easier, and move convenient from the beginning.

I did a lot of research and ended up getting a stroller on Craig's List for 1/3 of the price for DD and I absolutely loved it! There is a website called babygizmo.com that does TONS of video reviews of every stroller, car seat, and travel system under the sun so it's great to watch that and see what they find important and beneficial about certain products.

Good luck with your search! Don't feel pressure to make a decision right away though! It's a big purchase and you want to be happy!

We decided on the Britax B-Agile. It is lightweight (17 lbs, I think?), easy to maneuver, easy to fold. It can be used with a car seat as a travel system in the beginning, and then on it's own later.

Re: Strollers/Carseats

We registered for an infant car seat & the snap n go frame for it.
ive heard nothing but how heavy those travel systems are and i have a very bad back so i didnt even consider it.
Then i registered for a convertible car seat and a city mini (based on baby bargains, reviews on here and checking it out in person).

We did a snap and go with the stroller base and also a regular stroller and carseat for later.

We did the chicco travel system and have no complaints. The stroller is great. The snap and go seemed too light for me. We also have abob for running but it is also an awesome stroller.

I registered for the Britax B-Agile stroller and B-Safe infant carseat which clips into it (you can also clip in the britax chaperone or you can buy an adaptor for other brands of carseats). The stroller is lightweight and folds compact. It's is very similar to the City Mini which also looks great.

We chose the Chicco travel system with the infant car seat that locks into the full sized stroller. We figured we didn't need a SnapnGo since our baby is due in the fall and we probably won't use the stroller much during the winter at all, so we just went with the regular stroller that gives us the option of holding the car seat.

we did a graco snug ride and the snap n go and the light stroller/fast action fold...the travel system stroller was soooo bulky and heavy in the store. the graco seat snaps right into the matching stroller, but its sooo light and easy to fold :)

There are lightweight travel systems; not all of them are beasts. Your best bet is to go to BBB or BRU and check them out. Different things are going to work for different people.

I totally agree with this. A snap and go would have never worked for me, but everyone else raves about them. I wound up going with the Uppababy Vista and used the car seat attachment in the beginning if I was going to be in and out of the car or the bassinet if we were just walking doing errands. It totally depends on your lifestyle/needs. Go to Buy Buy Baby and try a bunch out.

We registered for the chicco infant seat and snap n go frame, and the city mini stroller. We tried the travel systems out in the store and they were just too bulky for my taste. I don't wanna futz around with the stuff especially in winter when it's cold, I just wanna get going. We regitered for the evenflo symphony car seats for when the baby outgrows the infant carrier...
