Re: Stretch Mark Creams
I've been using cocoa butter since i was about 8 weeks, but I think getting stretch marks (or not) is mostly genetic anyway.

Re: Stretch Mark Creams
I have been using the Mama Mio tummy oil and t the tummy butter (mostly the butter, and I supplement with the oil). I started the week I found out I was pregnant because I already have stretch marks on my boobs from puberty so I knew I was prone (my mom also has them from her pregnancies). I am now almost 36w and I don't have any stretch marks (my sister actually did a full belly inspection, even the underside where I can't see, and confirmed there are none so far), so fingers crossed I make it the rest of the way with none!

I used mama mio products with my first pregnancy and now with this one - so far so good (fingers crossed it stays that way!)

Re: Stretch Mark Creams
When the skin breaks, it break from the inside layers. Stretch mark cream really can not do anything preventative since they only penetrate the outer layer. I am 36 weeks pregnant and used nothing. I have no stretch marks. Everyone is different.

Re: Stretch Mark Creams
Any cream etc you use can just help keep your skin hydrated and not itchy. Nothing is going to stop stretch marks from happening. It's genetic.
The only thing you can do is try to gain weight steadily and slowly ...
But, I do use Mama Mio because someone gave it to me and it smells nomnom.

Stretch Mark Creams
I agree with pp, it definitely mainly stems from genetics but it doesn't hurt to moisturize. I use L'Occtaine Shea Butter in the morning and Mama Mio at night...love them both

I totally agree! Mamma mio is the best...Ive been using it since 3 months and it works great. 25weeks now and none so far. I actually use it instead of a moisturizer for the rest of my body too.

Re: Stretch Mark Creams
Why use oil and cream and not just one or the other? Also, why one in the morning and the other at night?
