Storing spices

Where do you store your spices? We are in the process of re-doing our kitchen and I want to figure something good out. No corner cabinet so we can’t really do the lazy susan thing (which is what my parents had). Any good solutions?

Re: Storing spices

I have a spice rack on our counter and a bunch of little random jars in one of our cabinets. It sucks. Chat Icon

If I could have a slide-out spice cabinet - that would be ideal for me.

Re: Storing spices

I have my spice rack which swivels in the cabinet right above my stove. I also have additional spices in the cabinet between the the right of my stove and pantry.

It works out well since, it's "right there" but, if I were to do my kitchen over I would do what Blu said and do pull outs if thats possible

Re: Storing spices

We have so many drawers in our kitchen that I bought one of those in drawer spice racks from williams sonoma..since you are having your kitchen done, maybe they can do this for you..when the rack was full, I bought bamboo storage boxes (from BBB) to pick up the slack..it's neat and I can find all of the spices...

Re: Storing spices

we have a section of our pantry that is really slim that only fits spices and small cans/jars, etc. We have TONS of spices so we filled that cabinet up nice and good!

I have something like this Mine don't expand though and the 'steps' are a little higher so you can really see what is behind it.

Re: Storing spices

We have two pull out spice towers - one on each side of the stove, the height of the bottom cabinet.

Re: Storing spices

We couldn't find anything that we wanted so DH ended up just making ours out of wood and putting them in one of our drawers. So now we have a spice drawer. Will try and see if pic will post.

Re: Storing spices

We have a spice rack screwed into our cabinet next to our stove as well. Very convenient while cooking!
