Stony Brook Hospital Tour
Anyone delivering at Stony Brook and already take the hospital tour? I'm thinking of skipping it, but I really want to know about the rooms and which door we're supposed to enter through. You'll make fun of me if you find out WHY I want to skip it....THANKS!!!!

I took the tour already. It was good, but i don't think you HAVE to go. When you're in labor you need to go to the 8th floor which is labor and delivery, they will sign you in and bring you to a room. They told me to bring a pillow from home since theirs are thin and hard to come by. You are allowed 2 people in L&D with you. Hmm, what else? After the baby is born you will be brought down to the maternity wing, which is now separate from the rest of the floors. If you go into the main entrance of the hospital it is past starbucks on the right. Let me know if you need any other info!!

I atually have to go to L&D on 2/11 to meet with the anesthesiologist. If I see enough I may not go on the tour...we'll see though.

Thanks so much! Well, since you ask...of course I have another question. Which entrance do you drive into when you get to the hospital?!?!?! I don't even know which door to go in.
