Stony Brook Hospital Tour

has anyone done this tour? how did you set up an appt and when are they?
I have called the information number there and have gotten 2 completely different answers
One said Thursdays at 1100am and another lady said Sundays (???) would be nice to know as i am having my section this Friday and my contractions are getting worse.

I think when DH and I went it was a weekend day..so sunday sounds right to me

It was definitely Sunday...I think at 5? But you had to call ahead of time that day to confirm because they are crazy busy right now (I was just released from there yesterday!) and may not have any empty rooms to show.

Honestly, it was nice to see the rooms, but it isn't really a necessity. If you are going in on Friday I would skip it.

Thursdays at 11 are expecting mother classes. I could never make them because of work, but it definitely isn't the tour.

you know i said to the girl that i did not need a class and she was insistant it was part of it?!
well i just had to switch hospitals 2 weeks ago to deliver and i have never been to Stony Brook. was more worried about getting lost as i heard it was huge. when you go into labor is there a special area to go to or do you just go to main reception?
