Stomach bug related question
My dd came home from school on Wednesday with the stomach bug. It was throwing and going for about 12 hours and then she was fine. On Saturday night I came down with it and have been violently sick since then. Throwing, going, fever, headache, and I feel like I got hit by a truck especially my shoulders and neck.
I know grown ups get this stuff worse than kids do but I'm a mess. Normal? Doctor worthy? Has anyone had this thing ?

Re: Stomach bug related question
Same thing in my house. Except my youngest dd got it, then my dh got it. I think it wipes you out for a day or two then you should be fine. No one went to the dr in my house. So long as my dd was drinking and making wet diapers I knew it just had to run its course.

Re: Stomach bug related question
My DD had it first, fever for 12 hours and diarrhea for 24 hours. It was very mild.
I got it a couple of days later. Fever for 2 days, and very bad diarrhea. I couldn't get out of bed for 3 days. It took me 5 days to recover. I felt it a lot worse than she did.

Re: Stomach bug related question
I think it depends on the person. DH gets a stomach bug and throws up once or twice, gets a fever and he's done. I got it back in January, lasted about 6 hours, then spent the next 36 hours on the couch unable to function.
