Stink bugs
I know we've discussed this before but wanted to share with you. 3 times now we've seen this nasty brown lines I
On the wall in my daughters room. We just made the connection that they are from stink bugs. I just looked it. So gross. They leave marks that smell ( I didn't smell it) but I guess other bugs can to attract more. I'm so grossed out. They are everywhere and seem to be getting worse. I'm in CT in a very wooded area. I said I feel like they mutated and are stronger lol. They seem faster this year and harder to catch and it would not get out of the cup. It stuck to the side. I've never had that happen before lol
Just thought I'd share incase you've found brownish tar like stuff around

I live in a wooded area, and we have stink bugs all the time. I've never seen any brown streaks though. Not on the walls (which are white), or anywhere else. So weird! I don't even get how these things are coming in. Our windows are usually shut, and are pretty airtight!

Ugh, yes the brown streaks!!! Even more annoying than the bugs themselves. Last year they ruined the pillow on one of my chairs. I can wipe the steaks off walls/window ledges but I couldn't get it out of the fabric. I'm not sure if it's their droppings or the stink spray. I've never noticed the brown streaks having an odor and I've dealt with quite a few of them now.
We're in a very wooded area too so that must play a big role in having them crash your house. I really need to make one of those light traps and pray that it works. I am not usually a bug killer but I am really not enjoying sharing my home with them.

Stink bugs
Yes they like suddenly appear lol. I hate them. I've never seen the streaks until just these past few days. I hate them. They are harmless but ugly and they scare my 2 yr old. And it just so happens mostly in her room :(. Poor kid. Wikihow had a bunch of tips. You can't really rid of them but you can deter them from coming in. One was a peppermint oil and water sprayed all around doors and windows. There were a lot of tips on there
