Stims question...
My doctor feels like I am not responding to clomid and thinks it would be best for me to move to injectables or IVF...I feel a little more comfortable doing injectables before going down the whole road of IVF but I'm wondering how common it is to do injectables and just have sex, like no IUI? The injectables are not covered on my plan, so I want to make sure that this is actually a good idea before I spend all this money! Any info would be great! TIA!

Re: Stims question...
If there are no male factor issues, IUI supposedly increases your changes like 8%. I wouldn't worry about how common it is to do TI on injectables.. .just do what you are comfortable with.
For us, we just wanted the best chance possible, especially because I didn't love the idea of using injectables (not like anyone would!) .. so we did IUI immediately. I didn't want to chance not getting pregnant and then wondering if I would have, had I done IUI instead.
On the other hand, trying the more natural is really important to some people.. So, I'd say you just have to figure out what your priorities are between you and your DH.
I know Flowewife has like 6 cycles of experience with TI on injectables.
Good luck!

Re: Stims question...
Ok thanks! My husband really wants to try "naturally" eventhough I feel like injecting stuff into my body has pushed us out of the "natural" stage, but he still would like to give it a shot (no pun intended lol)...but before I spend all that money on the meds I just wanted to make sure it made sense if we were planning on doing IUI. Thanks! :)

Re: Stims question...
Good luck!! I totally get how your DH feels about wanting to try naturally first... especially since you're just starting out with these drugs.... (I kind of feel like I have a jaded view already and any element of trying naturally is just so long gone ) But I think it totally makes sense, at least for the first cycle or two... as long as he has no male factor issues.

Re: Stims question...
Yeah his swimmers are good so I get where he is coming from...but if the situation were reversed and he had to inject himself everyday I think he'd be all for increasing our chances as much as possible LOL my other option is to wait a few more months until I can change insurances and get the meds covered, but I have issues with waiting lol
