can't beleive that it was a stingray that would be the cause in the end for this man!
his poor family...
 
Thats what DH said..of all the animals he has worked around, it was a sting ray that killed him. Poor guy...alot of kids looked up to him. And his poor family, such young kids!!

I went numb this morning when I heard the news. It is incredibly sad. I still don't believe it. He seemed to really love his wife and his babies. Everything he did for the animal world was huge in the perservation.

irrelevant, but ill tell it anyway: when i was little and before he got all famous i used to tell ppl he was my uncle because we had the smae last name

I was always afraid for that man's life, while watching him on TV. I somehow always felt that one of his risky animal adventures would kill him.

This is so sad...I loved him!!
He has two children - a boy who is about 18 months and a 3 year old little girl
OOps, I just read his daughter's actually about 8! Where did the time go - I guess I just remember her as that tiny little thing holding a huge python on Oprah!!!

I was shocked and very sad to hear this. As much as I made fun of the guy for doing some wacky things - he had a family and that's what makes me upset. I pray for his wife & kids...

I feel so badly about this. I heard only 17 ppl have died from stingray related injuries, and he's one of them.
