Stat bloodwork
Anyone know how long it usually takes for stat results? I'm going at 7am but my dr closes at 4. Want to make sure I can talk to someone before they close for the weekend. I only finish work at 4 (I'm a teacher so I can't use my phone). I just put in for a half day. Want to make sure I can get to the dr last minute incase they need to see me. Not sure if I'm crazy for doing that. But not sure I will be able to work with bad news either. I've been having a wave of emotions today! Breaking down at points, trying to then think rationally, back to crying.

Re: Stat bloodwork
I know easier said then done by hang in there. I would have put in for a half day also. As far as stat results if you go that early they should have them by the end of he day ask the lab tech that draws your blood and ask when you can check with your doc thy can usually give you an idea. If its quest they are usually really good and stat results are in a few hours of the draw. I deal with them a lot I work for a primary care physician and send lab work out from there

Re: Stat bloodwork
if you are going at 7am it will prob be in by 1 or 2 although it depends what lab they send it to or what lab you are going to. when they call they prob will just tell you the number and what the next steps are, there prob wont be a reason for you to go in. if you are taking time for emotional reasons that makes sense, but you most likely wont need to plan to go to the doctor.
