starting to think of changing cell phone provider
who is the best for the least amount of money?
my verizon bill is getting out of hand. we spend about $200/month: blackberry for SO, droid eris for me, regular phone for the boy
between the minutes, unlimited text, and the data plans, it's killing me
what carriers do you recommend that could save us some $$
oh, we don't have a land line

You all must be so sick of me replying to posts like these!
ETA: Sorry, I didn't read your original post thoroughly enough!
Here's what you can get through me at Sprint...
1500 minutes to share Unlimited N&W at 7 Unlimited calling to ANY mobile phone in the US, no matter what carrier. Unlimited text Unlimited data (web, email, Blackberry, navigation, Sprint TV, Sprint music) $109.99 a month.
Or if you need more minutes, the same plan as above with 3000 minutes for $149.99 a month.
If you need to share more phones, it would be $19.99 extra for each line.
Let me know if you want more info!

I wouldn't expect you to take my word for it since I work for them, but for what it's worth, I have had Sprint service for 11 years, and have never had a problem. And I have been all over the country with it.

Sprint!
After researching.. yes I agree. Sprint does.
I was with At&T and now I am saving $100 pr month! Even if I decide to upgrade to their smartphone package I would still get everything I had with my iphone (except no iphone :( ) but $30 cheaper!
Can't beat that

i hadn't even considered leaving verizon until i got a series of >$200 statements that were just blowing me away.
but i think the fee for breaking the contract will be with it for the numbers you're showing.
looks like this will be the subject for discussion at home, this week.
thanks for the info

So far I am happy with Sprint's service.. no dropped calls and to be honest I was getting lots of dropped calls these past few months with AT&T. No problems so far.

Re: starting to think of changing cell phone provider
For those with Verizon, you can see if you get a discount based on where you work. We get a discount through DH's job. You just plug in your work email.

Re: starting to think of changing cell phone provider
You get the most bang for your buck with Sprint. Their service is generally excellent.
And if you are ever in an area with no Sprint service, you can roam for free on Verizon's network. Best of both worlds!
