Starting to stress..

So, I don't have much time left-- and now I am being closely monitored because they are concerned with baby's small size.

I have two NST's a week, two check-up's a week, and a sonogram. Right now I have two induction spots being held-- one on 2/1 and one on 2/6 (my due date).

I keep hoping that the baby has grown. My daughter was small, and I was small-- so I know I don't make big babies, but this concern and close monitoring is freaking me out a little. I waffle b/t, oh- it's nothing to worry about, they are just being cautious, to what IF something is really wrong and how am I gonna deal with it.

I made the mistake of doing some internet research, and now I am even more worried. They have not mentioned IUGR, but based on the percentiles they gave me, he was borderline at the last growth sono.

I have my next growth sono on Wednesday, and it cannot come fast enough. I would move it up, but waiting is better because it's a more accurate portrayal of how much he's grown since the last one.

Re: Starting to stress..

I just had an IUGR baby on 1-1-12 and he was due 2-2-12 - it came as a complete surprise to me- I am looking into it now on internet- I knew my placenta had blood clots and I knew they were monitoring me closely for it but I didn't completely understand what it all meant or what would happen or that he would be here this early. He is doing great :) you are close to your due date like me - even if he comes early or small from my experience and from what I am reading I really think he will be okay. Drs told me that my baby just needs to eat and grow. and you know you make small babies to begin with - trust the doctors - they know what to look for - and will do what is best for you and baby. I too told myself that the doctor was just being cautious with all the tests he was giving me - I really believe that is true- he was just being cautious- he just happened to find something wrong with me- but for the most part I think a good dr does look into everything to be on the safe side and most of the time any concerns they are looking for is not there.
