Starting table food
So my dd needs to start table foods and I am just wondering, and feeling stupid for even asking, but what do you feed your kids for breakfast, lunch and dinner? I want to ensure she eats healthy, healthier than I do so this is def causing me to re-evaluate what I eat. Which isn't a bad thing.
Like I know people say just feed them what you feed yourself but what if shes never had spices before? And Im not talking spicy but just spices in general.
And can I give a 10 month old anything sautéed with lemon? Is there any issues with lemons that I need to be aware of?

Starting table food
The only thing our ped told us to stay away from was honey. I would take it slow so that you can continue to look for reactions. DD started having eczema and break out from different things and it's been hard to pinpoint the cause. You can start with things she already eats, just served in pieces instead of pureed. Then add simple things like cheerios, toast with a little butter, cheese, pasta, etc. DD has had all kinds of foods and sauces although it took time for her to get used to the variety.

For breakfast DS eats: Waffles Eggs Cereal Pancakes French toast Bagel English muffin.
Always with a fruit
Lunch : Chicken Yogurt Left overs Mac n cheese Grilled cheese
Always with a veggie and fruit.
Dinner is whatever we are having. We eat tons of chicken and turkey. But he eats pork too

Re: Starting table food
I'm just starting table foods. I have given her chicken curry (without the hot spice), and she loved it! I say it's better to introduce spices early on so they get acclimated to it. I have also given her meatloaf, and she loved that as well. I plan on giving her a little of what I'm eating for lunch and dinner so 1. I don't have to make a separate meal and 2. This will ensure we both eat healthy :)
I wanted to give her egg yolks for breakfast, but she's thrown up after eating it. So for now I will give mashed up fruits. When she is a little older, I plan to give her stovetop oatmeal and brown rice farina.

Re: Starting table food
DD is now 10 mo. I have been trying all sorts of things. She doesnt like the meats in the jar ( really who can blame her,its nasty) so I had a chicken roaster I was making for DH and I and i gave her some of the chicken she loved it. I have given her Turkey, Liverwurst, meatballs, pastina, bread, cheerios, avacado, bananas, guacamole with salsa and hot sauce. She likes to pick things up herself. I make her cauliflower, zucchini, broccoli and a bunch of other things. I try to make it thicker so she can mash it with her gums. I just try to give her things that she wont choke on.
